Membership confers the following benefits (at present):


• Access to our field course at Lyne at times determined by the club and the landowner


• 09:00 – 12:00 & after 18:00 all year (light permitting) (except Christmas Day, Easter Sunday & shoot days). N.B. These times may change pending discussions with landowner.  Last person out must inform landowner by our WhatsApp group.  Please be aware that these times may be subject to change in which case you will be notified.

• Access codes to the electronic gate and the chain link gate padlock (changed each April 1st) N.B. gate and padlock codes should not be shared with or given to any non-members


• A concessionary rate at Open and Friendly shoots held on our course of only £4.


• Please note that you must ensure that you are holding a current NFAS membership card when you visit the woods.


Commitments:


• Club members must be paid up members of the N.F.A.S. and comply at all times to the rules set out in the N.F.A.S. handbook.


• Club members should supply an emergency contact number which will only be used by the secretary/membership secretary in the unlikely event of a serious or fatal injury.


• Club members must produce, on demand, current N.F.A.S. and club membership cards. (N.B. for new members - a passport size picture will be required for the club card.)


• Club members must display a current shooting ‘token’ on the flag pole board whilst shooting is in progress.


• Club members are expected to assist on work parties, which are needed from time to time in order to set out courses, maintain targets and club equipment.


• Club members are expected to re-cover targets (if found covered) after shooting and replace shot out faces from the store on site and report any defects or concerns to committee member asap)


• Instinctive styles (stated in the Magna Carta Constitution) may only be shot by members on this course.


• Our landowner has requested that all members, (acting as forestry stewards on his behalf), should cut at ground level, any Rhododendron saplings found on the course.


• Our landowner has expressly forbidden carbon arrows on his land as part of his permission to the club.  Contravention of this rule will be regarded as a criminal offence (Trespass with a Weapon).


• Club members will ensure that the chain-link gate is locked at all times and that the combination is set to ‘0000’ when locked.


Membership fees for the year April 1st 2024 – March 31st 2025 are:


• Full adult (18+) £20.00 (£10 if joining after December 1st 2024)


• Junior (12+) / Cub (9+) £10.00 (Must be accompanied at all times by a legal or shoot guardian) 


• Family (2 x Adults + 2 x Children) £50 (please note due to N.F.A.S. Health & Safety, children under the age of 2 are not allowed on any courses).
